About This UnitUnit Outline: Students will be learning about how clothing and food packaging is designed to suit a purpose, want or need. They will look at and analyse different products and determine their usefulness according to the materials used. They will design and create their own packaged food item or clothing item and evaluate and reflect on its use and effectiveness.
Unit Purpose: Students can develop skills and understandings of how materials work together to make something functional and how those designs meet a purpose, want or need. Unit Objectives: Students should be able to make suitable design choices to produce a solution. |
